This is one of my favourite quotes and I could not agree and relate to it more. While reaching your body and fitness goals can definitely be done through hard work and dedication, there is no worse feeling than reaching your goals then slowly watching yourself lose what you worked so hard to achieve. That’s where consistency comes in.
Consistency refers to acting or doing something in the same way over time. It is all about repetition, repeating the same thought process and the same actions to get the desired outcome. It is the key to breaking bad habits and forming good ones and it is the only way to achieve long term success.
However, consistency is not just about regular frequency, it is a general steadiness and unfluctuating focus and requires discipline and commitment. So work out when you need to and not when you want to, stick to your diet and make a conscious effort to always make the healthy choice. Although this is not always easy it is a sure way to remain healthy and reach your goals. Remember consistency is key, to achieve overall long term success it is the one thing you must practice.
